New Citizenship Regulations Promote National Security for St. Kitts & Nevis

In a move to prioritize national security, defense, and public safety, the government of Saint Christopher and Nevis has implemented crucial changes to its citizenship by investment process.

According to the latest regulations, citizens and individuals ordinarily residing in specific countries will now be excluded from applying for citizenship in St. Kitts & Nevis.

The countries include:

(a) The Russian Federation, commonly known as Russia;
(b) The Republic of Belarus, commonly known as Belarus;
(c) The Democratic People's Republic of Korea, commonly known as North Korea;
(d) The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, commonly known as Afghanistan;
(e) The Republic of Iraq, commonly known as Iraq; and
(f) The Islamic Republic of Iran, commonly known as Iran.

The decision to exclude applicants from these nations is grounded in the nation's commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens and residents. By implementing these restrictions, the government aims to mitigate potential risks and safeguard the well-being of the Federation.

These changes were made official on the 27th of July, 2023, as part of an ongoing effort to strengthen the citizenship application process.

For further details and inquiries, applicants are encouraged to consult the official sources of the Citizenship by Investment Unit and trusted legal advisors. The government, along with its partners, aims to assist aspiring citizens in navigating the revised regulations and fulfilling their dreams of becoming part of the vibrant and welcoming community of St. Kitts & Nevis.
